Brenda Anderson's Playing the Quantum Field is an easy read about how things shape our lives. It's one of those books that when you open any page
you will find wisdom you can apply right now. This month's article contains extracts from her book. We live multiple realities at all times. Let's say you
are a father, a son, a husband, a brother, a business owner, a friend, and a Little League coach. One truth is that you're getting a divorce. Another truth is that
your business is going great. Yet another is that you are supporting your elderly parent and still another is
that you're estranged from your son and only see him at baseball practice. All your multiple realities are
true, but if you focus on only one, you might be inclined to beat yourself up whereas if you accept all your multiple realities, what you gain is actually more power to play in the quantum field.
If you live with only one of those realities, I'm a bad father, you're limiting yourself because you are many
other things. Your power comes in telling the truth about all your realities. You're actually a very good
father. You're a whiz in your business. The more you are able to see all these truths, the easier it is to
accept all your realities and live with them every day. And that's when you're most powerful. The ultimate
truth lies in embracing all the multiple realities that are you at any given time. When that happens, you
move through the magical portal into your power zone. The more you live in your power zone, the more you live with integrity and the more you incorporate all the aspects of yourself.
Your present reality is not the only, or the whole, reality. The difficulty comes when you're in the grip of a low-energy choice which truly appears
to be your only reality. Don't let it be. Because the simplicity is in accepting all the multiple realities of who you are; transcendence happens when you accept all that you are.
Perfect Just as You Are by Pema Chödrön is an excellent 8-hour in-depth study course worth the investment for those interested in developing and embracing this viewpoint.
The new consciousness consists not of "doing" but of "being," being and living what you believe. The key
to the new way is not trying to force a state of happiness and joy all the time. Instead, it's about accepting the many aspects of who and what we are by not rejecting or minimizing some of them. Don't
get sidetracked by subjecting the lower-energy parts of you to a self-help program. Your job is not to reform them. They operate at too low a frequency on the energy spectrum to ever be transformed. As
Anderson puts it, no matter how nice you are to a Komodo dragon, he will still eat you.
It's why he exists.
The same is true of your lower-energy aspects. They exist, will always be with
you, and their purpose is to operate at that frequency in your life. Rather than trying to change them, your job is to learn to live with them and to
acknowledge the role they play and how they affect your choices. You created them to serve you, and they have. At some point, however, when they stop
working and you arrive at a crossroad, you can keep recreating the same circumstances or you can break free, accept all that you are, and be free to
live what you believe. The gift of your low-energy aspects is a brand new life, because low-energy aspects at work allow us to make higher-energy choices.
Freedom comes when you accept all that you are and know that you are perfect just as you are.
