It was Joseph Campbell, a life-long student and teacher of the human spirit, who coined the catchphrase, "Follow your bliss." He
believed it isn't merely a matter of doing whatever you like but more a matter of identifying what you're truly passionate about and giving yourself absolutely to it. In doing so, you will find your
fullest potential to best serve yourself and your community. With the season of gratitude that is just ending, this is the perfect time to reflect on all that we're grateful for and, more
importantly, how we can transfer that appreciation toward whatever direction our passion lies, starting right now, at the beginning of 2008. In this New Year, figure out what you really love by tapping
into the energy that makes you tick, and then create a life around your dreams. Listen to your inner voice and do what makes your heart sing. Begin to disengage from what doesn't empower you and
go where your soul leads you. The late Dean of Boston University Chapel, Howard Thurman, said it best: "Go out and do what makes you come alive, because what the world needs most are people who do just
that." Have a fabulous New Year!
